NCPG Programs
The Partnership Educational Programs & Services

The Partnership for Philanthropic Planning’s mission is charitable giving made most meaningful. An important means of accomplishing this mission is through the Partnership’s educational programs.

The Partnership encourages the education and training of the planned giving community through the continuation and expansion of high quality educational opportunities available to planned giving practitioners. It is a leader in determining the body of knowledge critical to the profession and in providing educational opportunities to cultivate this knowledge.

The Journal of Gift Planning®
The Journal of Gift Planning
® is a quarterly publication intended to facilitate and encourage the education and training of the many different professionals in the planned giving community. A subscription to the Journal is a benefit of Partnership membership and the cost of $22.50 is included in Partnership individual membership dues. Questions about advertising in The Journal of Gift Planning® should be directed to Gloria Kermeen at (317)269-6274, ext. 31, or gkermeen@pppnet.org.
Research
The Partnership is committed to fostering meaningful, well-developed research projects. The majority of these projects are funded through grants and carried out in cooperation with other research organizations. The goals of the research committee are:
  • To monitor planned giving research and to communicate the results to members.
  • To initiate new research projects and to influence the direction of research projects already underway.
  • Printed reports of all research are available to Partnership council members at a minimal cost.

Government Relations
The Partnership, through its Government Relations Committee, recommends and coordinates efforts to promote a legislative environment favorable to charitable gift planning. For information regarding the Partnership's strategic plan for government relations, click here.

Model Standards of Practice for the Charitable Gift Planner
The Model Standards of Practice for the Charitable Gift Planner is a voluntary code of professional conduct for gift planners and donor advisors. The Partnership provides an Ethics Committee to address the concerns of individual members and to work with the councils to clarify and ratify the Model Standards. All councils affiliated with the Partnership must ratify the Model Standards. A copy of the Model Standards is available from the Partnership at no or nominal cost. To see the Model Standards, click here.

GIFT-PL
GIFT-PL is an e-mail distribution center for gift planners that is administered by the Partnership. It was established as a forum for discussion on issues relating to gift planning. GIFT-PL is a benefit of membership in the Partnership. There is no charge for subscribing other than charges you ordinarily incur for access to the Internet.

The Partnership Order Form
The Partnership provides members with publications and products aimed at increasing planned giving knowledge. To order any of the the Partnership products or publications, click here for an Order Form. (requires Adobe Acrobat Reader® to open)

LEAVE A LEGACY® is a community-based effort that encourages people from all walks of life to make gifts from their estates to the nonprofit organizations of their choice. The program encourages prospective donors to work with development officers of the charities they already support, or the estate planning professionals with whom they already have a relationship, to establish a charitable bequest or other planned gift.
