NCPG Councils
As a leader of an NCPG member
planned giving council, you play a pivotal role in the local and
national gift planning communities. Because NCPG is structured
as a federation of councils, we depend on you to provide input
and local perspective on issues that affect gift planners
nationwide.
The annual Leadership Assembly can energize your
commitment to the gift planning profession. During the Council
Leaders Workshop, delegates gather for discussions of topics
related to council administration, along with meeting national
committee chairs and discussing priorities for education,
research, government relations and other national initiatives.
In addition to the Workshop, delegates attend the annual NCPG
Business Meeting to elect members of the national Board of
Directors and Nominating Committee, vote on amendments to the
NCPG governing instruments, hear reports on national programs, and
provide advice and comment on a wide range of gift planning topics.
As NCPG prepares to celebrate its 20th anniversary with the launch of a new
organizational brand, we are also striving to form an even closer
partnership with your planned giving council. As a key council leader,
you play a pivotal role in this partnership. The NCPG Leadership Assembly
will bring more than 100 council leaders from across the country together to
discuss council programming and management, make valuable networking and
mentoring contacts, and optimize your council's voice in NCPG activities.
Council leaders
consistently say that the Assembly is the most valuable council leadership
activity they engage in…..
-
"The sessions were
well put together and helpful throughout."
-
"The meeting was
well planned, organized, led, and worthwhile! It was very valuable
information and time well spent!"
-
"I found the
sessions extremely valuable and came back with lots of new ideas to
discuss and implement."
-
"If we could just
bottle the education, mentoring and networking synergy experienced at
the Assembly and send it to each council…"
-
"One thing I will
remember from this year's assembly: Having an elevator conversation with
the delegate from Hawaii on my right and the delegate from Alaska on my
left. Talk about expanding your vision!"
